Lindsay (Cole) Smith has been named Varsity Cheerleading Coach.  Lindsay participated in 14 years as a competitive cheerleader, sideline cheerleader and now two years of experience as a cheerleading coach at Milton-Union. Prior to coming to the high school level she spent a year and a half as the middle school cheer coach. Lindsay graduated from Milton-Union High School in 2014 and went on to attend the University of Cincinnati where she received her degree in Dietetics and now is in the process of getting her Masters in Nutrition. Lindsay resides in West Milton with her husband Joe Smith.

 

Kenton Dickison will be taking over as the Milton-Union Men’s Tennis coach for the 2021 season pending board approval. Dickison is a 2014 graduate of MU, and grandson/son to longtime Bulldog coaches Sally and Dana Dickison. In his time at Milton-Union, Dickison was a 4 year varsity award winner for tennis, 2 time sectional champ, 3 time district qualifier, and 1 time state qualifier. Dickison also was a 3 time SWBL champ, and was awarded multiple league/district awards and scholarships for his work on and off the court. Dickison received a bachelors in Exercise Physiology from the University of Dayton in 2018, and was a member of their club tennis program. He later received his Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from Ohio Dominican University in 2020. Dickison lives in West Milton with his wife Alyssa and two golden retrievers.

 

Nathan Morter a 1995 Milton-Union Graduate and Bulldog Baseball alum has been named the Varsity Baseball coach pending board approval. Nathan started coaching baseball in 2009 for  M.U.R.A. Morter also spent time as the Nashville Nationals Head Baseball Coach.  Morter was also the coach of the first Junior High Baseball Club team at Milton-Union.  Coach Morter is also a junior high football coach for the Milton-Union Bulldogs.  Coach Morter resides in West Milton with his wife Kelly and daughter Izzy and son Nathan.

 

 

 

Dr. Shawn Brown, a 1984 Milton-Union graduate has been named the Varsity Girls Soccer coach pending board approval. Shawn started coaching in 2008 for MURA SAY Soccer. He became active in club soccer in 2009 and has coached many club teams over the years. He became involved in the Girls High School soccer program in 2013. He began his high school coaching career as the goal keeper coach before being named the junior varsity coach. Last season he was named the Assistant Coach of the Year for Miami Valley North. Coach Brown resides in West Milton with his wife Susan and four children, Anna, Matthew, Nikolas, and Justin.

 

Austin Mefford has been tabbed as the new Strength and Conditioning Coordinator for Milton-Union pending board approval.  Austin played Football and basketball for Kettering Fairmont.  Mefford graduated from Fairmont in 2011.  After graduation, Mefford attended Wright State University with a Masters in Middle Childhood Education.   Currently Mefford teaches 6th grade Math for Milton-Union.  Mefford has coached varsity football, junior high football and junior high basketball for Milton-Union.  Mefford resides in Kettering with his wife Oliva, son Hudson and daughter Blakely.
