The Bulldogs traveled to Pleasant Hill to face the Newton Indians to open the season. The Bulldogs looked to continue the success from the season before as D3 District Runner Up. The Dogs got out to a fast start outscoring Newton 22-7 in the first quarter. Things leveled out in the second, with the Bulldogs still outscoring Newton 13-11 and the Bulldogs taking a halftime lead 35-18.

Out of the break Newton was ready to try and make up ground, keeping pace with the Dogs both scoring 15 a piece in the third. The Indians took control in the final 8 minutes of play outscoring the Dogs 29 to 18. The Dogs were able to fend off the surge making several key free throws in the final seconds to take the victory 68-62.
The Bulldogs were lead by sophomore guard Blake Brumbaugh with 24 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists and senior guard Sam Case with 22 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals.

The Bulldogs are back in action this Friday December 4th on the road for a league match up with the Spartans of Waynesville. This is a triple header with freshman at 4:30, JV at 6 and Varsity at 7:30. Go Dogs!
